History and monuments
In the 6th century, two buildings were built here, which are interesting for the history of mankind. One of them is the Tureta fortress, which is located in the upper part of the island and was used to supervise the navigation route through the Kornati channel. The second building is the Marian Church. Interesting are the former salt warehouses and salt plants in Lavsa Bay, the remains of the Venetian castle and shepherd's huts.
